THE STORY BEHIND HAPPY TIDDLERS

The Tiddlers story began when Helen and Nicky struggled to find a local swim school for their own little tiddler. 

The pair both see swimming as a vital skill for everyone and this passion, combined with an obvious gap in the market, resulted in the founding of Happy Tiddlers in 2014.

Helen started out on a Saturday afternoon with three tiddlers and began to build the Happy Tiddlers brand and develop her skills to be the best at what she does. Nicky supported Helen in the background with operational tasks and planning until finally joining full time in summer 2018.

The opening of the Swim Centre in Barton Le Clay has been a pivotal stage in the Tiddlers journey. Getting this off the ground was a long process but there was a huge amount of support including the University of Bedfordshire (UOB) who were amazing! We even starred in an ITV production where we were interviewed for the Charted Association of Business Schools (CABS) in 2019.

Now teaching 7 days a week, Happy Tiddlers is made up of a group of hand-selected individuals who are affectionately know as Team Tiddler.

Helen and Nicky are proud of the fun, caring and supportive environment they have created, what was a vision across a table many moons ago is now a reality and they are both as passionate as ever about teaching babies and children to be safe and LOVE water!

Our mission still stands; To develop happy confident swimmers with Skills For Life.
